I Love a Good Deal

A couple weeks ago I went to Old Navy and found some clothes on clearance and used a 30% off coupon. I bought 7 items for $20. Then I went to Target to browse around and ended up stumbling on their first day of their toy clearance sale. Everything I bought was 75% off! I kept picking things up and putting them back because I wasn't looking to buy toys but quickly thought about Christmas. I had the kids with me so I let Cole tell me what he liked. I had to convince him to leave some items at the store that I didn't want him to have, but he was fine with that. We left with 6 regularly expensive toys (including a tonka scoot & ride truck for $10) and a shirt and shorts all for $40. When we got home Cole was ready to play with the toys but we told him he had to wait for Christmas. He doesn't realize it is so far away but he left them unopened. Eventually we told him Santa was going to come get the presents while he was asleep and bring them back on Christmas. We then hid them where no one will look. We did't hide the truck so the next morning Cole saw it and said, "Santa forgot this one." A couple days later we hid it and Cole hasn't complained.

A week later we went to a yard sale and found a cute white bookcase that looks like it came from Pottery Barn. We only paid $13. I love finding good deals!

Our baby is 4 months now. Ready to go to Harris Pond for my mom's ward 24th of July party.

He recently discovered his feet
Cole loves to hold his brother and is such a good brother

Aug 3 - First time at the pool all summer. Getting used to the water.
Uncle Glen teaching him how to kick and walk on his hands
This is easy mom! He wasn't ready to put his head under yet. I'm planning to put him in swim lessons next summer although I should have done it this summer.

He can hold both fish on his swing now. He used to only hold onto the green whale.
Always smiling for the camera!
