Ritchie Family Reunion

This year my mom's family had our family reunion at the KOA in Bear Lake on saturday. We had lunch and talked about family history. There were a lot of fun things for the kids...
miniature golf
bikes
and a huge bouncy pillow

It was raining almost the whole time so we kept Brady covered up.

Cole's First Fish

Cole loves fishing! His dad has been taking him a few times a week for the past 2 weeks now. One night Jason was having a hard time getting Cole to go to sleep, so he told him to go to sleep now and then they would go fishing in the morning. The next morning Jason went to wake him up and as soon as Jason put his hand on Cole's shoulder to wake him up, Cole woke up and said, "time to go fishing?" Cole can't stop talking about how much he wants to go fishing every day. That is all he talks about. These pictures are from their fishing trip friday morning June 12th.

In the past, Jason has helped Cole reel the fish in.
This bass he actually caught all by himself with his little Cars fishing pole shown above!
They take the fishing boat out at Grandma Jane's and sometimes they fish from the dock there or where we live since our apt complex is on the river.

Brady's Baby Blessing

We blessed Brady today. Jason gave a great blessing. Lots of family were there and we had a lunch afterward. We took more pictures, but not with a digital camera. We borrowed this outfit from Jason's sister Amy. It is also the same outfit Cole was blessed in. What a great day. We are so blessed to have two beautiful, healthy boys and look forward to many more happy days together.

Dentist

It has been a while since we have been to the dentist. Now that we have insurance, we made an appointment and Jason, Cole & I went on the same day. Not a good idea. Jason went 1st leaving the rest of us in the waiting room for an hour. When my turn came, they took x-rays then asked if I wanted to come back another day for my cleaning. I said I would and then it was Cole's turn. This was his 1st trip to the dentist. He was a little resistant at first but ending up doing very well.
He liked the idea he could wear sunglasses
Dad held him while the dentist examined his teeth. Cole didn't open his mouth very wide like we had practiced, but wide enough to get the job done.

One Month

We took Brady in for his one month check-up yesterday (his Grandpa Page is his dr) and he weighs 9 lbs 8 ozs. He is so much fun and he is sleeping great. Of course he still wakes up every 3 hrs to eat. Cole always wants to know where his brother is and every time he comes over to Brady he says, "I want to see his eyes." It is so sweet.
3 wks - looks at those blue eyes! Brady looks totally different than Cole when his eyes are open...
but just the same with them closed. Here is Brady at one month.

Cole Turns 3

Happy Birthday Cole!
We had just some of our family come over to celebrate Cole's birthday. There are so many people that it would be impossible to fit everyone inside our little apartment. Also, there were two other boys born into the family within three weeks of each other so we don't want any babies to get sick.
He got a fishing pole with fish from Rick and George.
The cake was supposed to be Mickey Mouse...sorry Cole we tried! We didn't have much time before the party to get it assembled correctly and to color the frosting. At least it had some chocolate like Cole wanted, the frosting. I think it looks more like a reindeer.
Make a wish
The loot...basketball hoop from mom & dad, counting book from Grandma & Grandpa Petty, card with $ to get something from Aunt Iris (we will go shopping tomorrow & let you know Iris), make it yourself bouncy balls from Grandma & Grandpa Page & Jess & Jordan, USA map puzzle & Lion King coloring book from Grandma Ann & 2 trucks and Spiderman ball from Uncle Glen. Thanks for the great birthday everyone!
